Refund and delivery policy

Pre-orders

She Governs is currently available to pre-order. When you place a pre-order, you pay now and we send your journal once it’s printed. First copies dispatch from 10 November 2026, and orders are sent in the order they’re received.

Cancelling a pre-order

You can cancel your pre-order at any time before your journal is dispatched. Email hello@shegoverns.co with your name and order number, and we’ll refund you in full to your original payment method within 10 working days.

Delivery

• Within Nigeria: delivery usually takes 3–5 working days after dispatch.
• Outside Nigeria: we ship worldwide. Delivery times and fees depend on your location and are shown at checkout.
• Delivery fees are calculated at checkout and aren’t included in the journal price.
• International orders may be subject to customs duties or import taxes in your country. These are set by your local authorities and are the buyer’s responsibility.

Please check your delivery address carefully at checkout. If a parcel is returned to us because of an incorrect address, we’ll contact you to arrange redelivery, which may carry an additional fee.

After your journal is dispatched

Because each journal is a personal item, we can’t accept returns or offer refunds once your order has been dispatched, except in the cases below.

• Damaged or faulty journal: if your journal arrives damaged or with a printing fault, email us within 7 days of delivery with your order number and a photo. We’ll send a replacement at no cost to you.
• Wrong item or colour: if you receive the wrong colour or item, tell us within 7 days and we’ll put it right.
• Lost parcel: if your journal hasn’t arrived within a reasonable time of the expected delivery date, contact us and we’ll work with our delivery partner to trace it, or send a replacement.

Group orders

Orders of 10 copies or more receive 10% off. Group orders are arranged by email at hello@shegoverns.co, and the same cancellation terms apply before dispatch.

Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal information She Governs Media (“we”, “us”) collects when you visit shegoverns.co or place an order, and how we use and protect it. We handle your information in line with the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023.

What we collect

• Your name, email address, phone number and delivery address when you place an order.
• Your order details, such as the colour you chose and the amount you paid.
• Any messages you send us.
• Basic information about how visitors use our website, such as pages viewed, collected through cookies or analytics tools.

Payments are handled securely by our payment provider. We never see or store your full card details.

How we use it

• To process your order, arrange delivery and keep you updated about it.
• To answer your questions and provide support.
• To send you news about She Governs, but only if you’ve agreed to receive it. You can unsubscribe at any time.
• To improve our website and products.

Who we share it with

We only share your information with the services that help us fulfil your order: our payment provider, our delivery partners and the tools we use to run our website and email. We never sell your personal information.

How long we keep it

We keep your order information for as long as we need it to provide our service and meet our legal and accounting obligations, then delete it securely.

Your rights

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, correct it, or ask us to delete it. You can also withdraw your consent to marketing emails at any time. To make a request, email hello@shegoverns.co.

Terms and conditions

These terms apply when you use shegoverns.co or buy from us. By placing an order, you agree to them.

Orders and prices

• Prices are shown in naira for customers in Nigeria and in US dollars for customers elsewhere. Delivery fees are added at checkout.
• The founding price of ₦25,000 ($39) is available until 25 December 2026. After that, the price is ₦35,000 ($55).
• Your order is confirmed once payment is complete and you receive a confirmation email.
• If we’re ever unable to fulfil an order, we’ll tell you as soon as possible and refund you in full.

About the journal

She Governs is a guided journal for personal reflection and planning. It isn’t a substitute for professional advice, including medical, psychological, financial or legal advice.

Intellectual property

All content in the She Governs journal and on this website, including text, design and the She Governs name and logo, belongs to She Governs Media. You’re welcome to use your journal for your own personal use, but please don’t copy, reproduce or sell any part of it without our written permission.

Our responsibility

We take care to make sure our products and website are accurate and work as they should. Nothing in these terms limits your rights as a consumer under Nigerian law. Beyond that, our responsibility for any order is limited to the amount you paid for it.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version on this page at the time of your order is the one that applies.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
